Any questions you have before you begin buying, building and installing.

Hi I bought a car I want to rebuild and I'm looking for guidance before I commit to buying anything until I have an idea of what I will need to have it all work together.

Engines
The engine bay is very small but I want a 6 cylinder not an inline 4. Options that I have found are:
-Honda goldwing gl1500 boxer 6 sohc 2 valve per cylinder. 100hp 130nm torque
-mazda mx-3 1.8 v6 dohc 140hp 170nm
-mazda JDM 2.0 v6 DOHC 170hp 190nm
Or 2.5 v6 DOHC 200hp 220nm
-chrysler avenger Mitsubishi motor 2.5 v6 sohc 4 valve p cylinder 150hp 200nm

Ecu only needs to control motor and possibly transmission and turbo.
-ive looked at many stand-alone ecu which are very expensive. I'm wondering if there is a kit available like a mega squirt that has everything needed including could with whatever else is needed to run everything?

I have basic knowledge of how a car works. I've read alot but no where closed to cover everything that is needed to make an engine work. That's why I'm hoping I can buy something that has instructions on how to connect it all to the motor.

Transmission
-i can get an adapter for any rwd transmission for these engines. The stock Opel transmission can only take 150hp. It only 14 inches long
- I'm looking at a ford tremec t5
-getrag 240, 260 I'm told are all small enough to fit.

If anyone knows of another that can take the 250-350hp I want, please let me know. In reality I want the car to look good for car shows as well as sound good. It will be a daily driver so 200hp is good enough but it would be nice to be able to spank a 4000lbs 500hp c8 corvette with my 1800lbs baby corvette (Opel gt)

Again if anyone can suggest a ecu kit for a boxer 6 or a v6 tiny twin turbo engine I would be forever greatful.

I've started this project wanting to learn to build this myself to show everyone that a woman can make a nice powerful car too. I'm not going to think I'm not going to need help starting from scratch.

Most speeduino boards can run 6 cylinder turbo engines. What would you want the ecu to do for a manual gearbox?

Sorry I got mixed up between standard 5 speed transmissions and the semi autos that are actually automatic that have dct in it.

No I don't need a controller from ecu to a standard transmission because I'm the controller, lol.

I'm hoping this engine will be what mine will look like in the engine bay for a tiny corvette with a tiny twin turbo engine. That's how much I'm over my head in this. Was supposed to be a simple buy engine with transmission and pay someone to drop it in.

Having to find the best engine with best transmission that will fit in the car and leave room for turbos is not something I should have got into.

So it looks like I will be getting the Mazda 2.0 JDM v6 kl-ze that should produce 180hp from the stock ecu. It says the engine was overbuilt for racing but Mazda decided not to compete with Subaru an Mitsubishi.

The engine has starter, alternator, throttle bodies, injectors, intake and exhaust but nothing to actually make it run.

I'm hoping there is someone that has built a stand-alone that I can buy with the wiring for a v6.

I'm trying to find bigger 480cc injectors from a Subaru most likely to fit in place of the 230cc stock ones. I'm also getting told I should probably upgrade the throttle bodies as well. I don't know if that makes a difference to the ecu or harness that would be needed.

The black car is what it looks like right now. It has a rhino truck liner on it that I'm chipping away at with a heat gun and after I remove it all will be painted light silver with 2 pink racing stripes over it and the wheels will also be pink so everyone knows it's a woman's car. The red cars side pipes I want to put on it as well as finding a widebody kit that the blue car has.

Please contact me if you could make an ecu with harness with any extras for my build. There are kits from microsquirt that come with coils. I don't know what that is yet so if you could include everything to make it as simple as possible for me, I'm willing to pay for the ease.

Thank you

W of the pics didnt load hear is the wide body I will put on it. I haven't decided if I'll put a wing on the back.

There is a 911 body I can also get with a bumper under the nose.

It's a cool car. How does the weight of that Mazda V6 compare with the original engine?
I'd be surprised if there's anyone that has already Speeduino'd that engine and is able to offer a ready made harness, but I could be wrong.
It might be worth asking on discord as well - different set of people there.

The car came with a 1100 and 1900 inline 4. The bigger is 385kg and the mazda Mazda V6 is 175kg. That's complete motors. Going from 90hp and 150nm being generous to 250-350hp and 300-400nm would turn this into a super fun and fast sports car. Like cobra Numbers.

I've decided on getting a smaller engine that I could push harder to make the power I want while being fuel efficient.

I purchased a 2003 BMW k1200rs. It wasa good price but there is an Lt version that made less power but it had a 5 speed with reverse from the starter instead of 6 speed with no reverse.

So I'm wondering if anyone has worked on motorcycle engines? This is a 4 cylinder boxer 1.2l. I first thought it was a inline 4 turned on its side, lol.

I want to push this engine very hard. If it's like a Subaru then it should make some decent power if I install bigger twin scroll turbo, bigger throttle bodies with upgrading the 230cc injectors to 670cc. Port and polish with bigger intake and exhaust, I'm hoping for 200-250. The weight of the engine is only 100kg which will make the car super light. Like alittle bigger then a goldwing or other sport touring motorcycle.

Is anyone able to build a standalone ecu for this for me? There is a k100 racer thread I'm hoping I'm going to hear back from.

I'm also wondering if this is just a small computer loaded with the right software? Could I use a 3d motherboard with a secondary board from the someone to make this work?

It's not a boxer! It is a car engine turned on it's side. BMW boxers are R series and 2 cylinders.

K series is liquid cooled. R series are Air/Oil Head cooled.

You would know this if you had one, or had just bought one!

Please post an image of your engine for identification.

I'm not convinced that the fuel consumption will be that great, not once you've more than doubled the vehicle weight. Its going to be hard on the clutch too.
