Accompanying log attached.

You will see that i have to apply some throttle to keep it running when cold. The ossilation i am talking about is towards the end of the log.

is it really minus 20 Degrees there?
If the CLT temperature is to be believed, you may not have enough WUE to get the engine up to temperature. You can only tune the VE table when properly warmed up. If the CLT sensor is not configured correctly, then that is your first task. :)

Look at the Spark and VE tables when the engine is running, and you will see it going in and out of differing advance and fuel values.

Ok. I have calibrated the temp sensor as best i can (I am going to order an EFI one so that i can have the correct calibration details to hand).

The attached log should show the problem I am facing. I am starting to wonder whether this is a hardware or a software issue... I fear the engine bores may be worn and so I am losing compression, particularly at higher temperatures.

Both problems are probably just early stage tune problems. But it's very hard to fix without a working wideband 02 signal.

For example, at your 1,400 rpm oscillation point, MAP is oscillating between 56 and 60 kpa. VE at 1400 and 56kpa is 103 and at 1400 and 60kpa it's 137. Thats a 30%+ change in fuelling which will drive rpm change.
A wideband AFR would show this.

Ok that's useful. I have an AEM wideband wired in and calibrated in TS. But you're suggesting it isn't working as it should?

I am starting to think I haven't grounded the sensor at the ECU..
