Help with building your Speeduino, installing it, getting it to run etc.

You can control the VTEC solenoid without a relay if you use a P-Channel MOSFET such as an IRF9540N, I am still designing mine but so far my schematic is using one of the outputs on a ULN2003 to trigger the 9540N...
As for input triggers, Im using a modified Mitsubishi dual opto, as I have had too many problems with the VR sensors, they are very noisy (especially the 24 tooth wheel)...

Good luck

Great advice thanks.

I will look at the alternative trigger sensor options if the standard max chips aren't good enough.

Have you got any more info on the mitsubishi opto?

Thanks again!!!

Hello, I have a question about connecting Vtec, because the solenoid coil is controlled on / off + 12v and I do not know how to connect it to the speeduino output, should I use a relay or some transistor to control this coil and how it should be connected correctly. I would be grateful for a any connection diagram.

PS Sorry for my weak English

Has anyone wired up the VSS sensor on a Vtec B series. Its a sensor that takes 12v and provides a pulse output.

I am using a UA4C Speeduino. I guess I run it to one of the spare inputs but will need to regulate it to 5v?
