Hello all,

So I'm really just wondering if there's any need to use a Teensy if the Mega 2560 is fast enough to run your engine. I'm looking to do a custom board so the AFR is onboard and having a few extra AI for specific uses onbaord and apart from the ECU talking to a Raspberry for the Realdash display data then I don't see much use in wifi and bluetooth bells n whistles.

So, is the 2560 fine or would a teensy 4.1 be better?

Well no one replied and after more research I think the dropbear with the Teensy 3.6 might be the way to go or I might custom build the PCB for the Teensy 4.1.
Dropbear has 2 spare AI so that covers my fuel sender issue.

Ive been going to answer but been having issues loggin in.

i have run a Mega V0.4.X board for a number of years and its been great. just performing a motor swap and going to reuse.

But for my next project I have a Dropbear V1, more so for the on board logging and the nice enclosure.

The mega2560 has unused inputs ,both digital and analog that you could make the necessary filtering and input protection on your custom design.
It can also send the data to realdash via serial3 too(secondary serial) .
You only might consider the teensy if canbus was important to you or you are running very high engine speeds with high count tooth wheels.
