No support on cam sensor in v1.7 board.
So the only way to go full sequential on a m40 is to upgrade to a v2 board?
ah on m40 its possible. stock cylinder id sensor connector is configured as cam input in that case
That's awesome. I'm gonna get a m50 sensor and 3d print a cam cover.
1. Does the m50 plug straight into the plastic box under the intake or do I have to swap pins around?
2. What sj do I need to solder for sequential ign, fuel and the m50 cam sensor?
3. Where would I setup the cam sensor in tunerstudio?
4.I'll get some ls2 coils, what ign channel do I connect each to? Counting from the from the front of the car
5. For sequential fueling do i go with inj_1 to injector 1 and so on? (still counting from the front of the car)
Also thanks a lot for still answering questions after all these years :D

on v1.7 pcb only cam sensor support is hall effect one so its recommend to use m52 crank sensor or m54 intake cam sensor. yes you have to swap pin 1 and 2 from cylinder id connector. make sure to select appropriate voltage to the sensor with sj4. (m52 5v and m54 12v)
in the trigger settings there's a secondary trigger option. select poll lavel if you using half moon type wheel.
it should be wired to firing order. ign1 to cylinder 1 ign2 to cylinder 3 ign3 to cylinder 4 and ign4 to cylinder 2 injector should wired the same.

Built a speeduino for a friend with an m20, he wants to go wasted spark with cops( BMW 3 pin bremi 11864t)
Is this the right wiring with sj5(pins 2 and 3) soldered?
IGN1.1 Cyl 1/6
IGN2.1 Cyl 2/5
IGN3.1 Cyl 3/4
Many thanks!

I ordered some v2 boards so if someone needs one il send it to you, just me dm or something.
Also the m40 bom calls for 1 mpxh6115a6u and TWO mpxa4250AC6U. I understand the 6115 is for baro and one of the other is map but what does the third do? They are pretty expensive unlike my car so id like to save some money there for a wideband. I have an external map and iat sensor, a bosch 0281002437. Can i run that from the board pads for the 4250 or is there a better way? I understand at startup the ecu does baro compensation from the map. Id love to omit the other sensors as well. If i do so do i need to change something else on the board?
Thanks.

So im about halfway through the soldering, sry for the mess of flux. Cant find part numbers for the board mount molex connectors :/ . I read 16u2 is prefered over ch340, why? Is there a simple way to add canbus or i2c for a diy multi gauge? Where can i find an m40b18 basemap? I assume Q11 is for IAC valve but what is Q12 for? Thanks for the patience answering all the questions btw.
Going great so far cant wait to test it out!

If you are struggling with the bom here are some missing parts (most availible on mauser) :

0407005.WRA F1,F2 FUSES not solder jumpers
43045-0658 2x3 WB O2 connector female
43025-0608 2x3 WB O2 connector male
43045-2000 2x10 I/O connector female
43025-2000 2x10 I/O connector male
46991-1012 2x6 High power connector female
172708-0112 2x6 High power connector male
LSSA22L-V SW2 DPDT switch (PLZ CONFIRM)

Also 680R, 100K and 120R resistors, any 1/4W should be fine but here are some (get 10 each if unsure)

HVR2500001003FR500 100K
CFR16J680R 680R
MF1/4LCT52R121G 120R

If i made any mistake plz correct it. Also 2x3 and 2x6 molex connectors are commonly used in computers so if you dont wanna buy new ones, rip them off of motherboards GPU or power supplies.
