Help with building your Speeduino, installing it, getting it to run etc.

Just got my E36 running on speeduino, what a difference MAP based load makes! The vane air flow sensor really made the car sluggish. It's completely stock so this should be a good starting point for anyone with an M42.

I wired it all in to be plug and play with the Nissan RB igniters, this way I can still swap in the old ECU.

Here is some info I collected and settings I used:

Injectors
Part number: 0-280-150-714
Flow rate: 191.8 cc/min, 18.25 lbs/hr (@ 3 bar, 43.5 psi)
Impedance: High, 15.8 ohm
Color: yellow

Crank Trigger
Teeth: 60-2
First tooth pulse after the gap is 114 degrees BTDC.
Speeduino trigger angle setting: -114

Cam Trigger
Teeth: 1
Trigger angle: 144 BTDC before cylinder 1 power stroke.

Coolant Temperature Sensor
-10 °C: 9 kΩ
20 °C: 2.5 kΩ
80 °C: 0.34 kΩ
Reference: Bentley manual

Intake Temperature Sensor
-10 °C: 9 kΩ
20 °C: 2.5 kΩ
80 °C: 0.34 kΩ
This is inside the vane air flow sensor, so wire in another one if you want to remove that.

Idle Valve
Frequency: 100 Hz

DME Relay Circuit
You'll need to make a circuit that turns on the DME relay, this was done by the stock DME originally. I just copied the circuit from pazzi88s plug and play board. I used a PN100 transistor instead of the 2N2222.

Pinouts
Everything works except tach output and I'll update this when I find the issue.
I connected all the grounds together, not sure if there will be less noise running the ignition grounds separately.

Wouldn't matter.

50% of the time the injectors will be opening on closed valves either way.

And no. This isn't an issue...

The entire injector cycle is the whole 720 degree engine cycle.

So once over 25% DC you will be spraying onto closed valves no matter what.
