no add a jumper between 2 and 3 on SJ1 and leave rest. you need max9926 vr conditioner board

Hello, i want to use the 2.2v on my m40 but i have a few questions so here goes;

1. Does the m40 have any kind of cam sensor?
2. What is the purpose of this 12 12 1 721 775?
3. Cant find anything on cylinder id so what do i unplug?
4. Can i run an external map and just not install the baro?
5. If i want to run sequential injection what do i need to re wire injection wise and how do i get cam signal?

There is probably more but i forgor. Im new to this and want to avoid as much dead ends as possible and get to messing around with tuning, delete the maf, maybe run vag coils etc.
Thanks!

1- there's no physical cam sensor
2- this kinda act as cam signel as its on cylinder 4 spark lead. When cylinder sparking cylinder id sensor detect the signal and sends a voltage signal to the ECU
3- disconnect the cylinder id sensor wire from the wiring loom box under the intake manifold.
4- unfortunately no dedicated external map sensor input available. Yes baro sensor is optional.
5- to run sequential have to wire injector1 out to cylinder 1 injector, injector2 to cylinder 3 injector, injector3 to cylinder 4 injector and injector4 to cylinder 2 injector. If wanted to use coil on plug set up coils should be wire as that too.

To get cam sensor you can use mrt engineering m20 cam trigger kit. I also developed a kit using poll level trigger wheel to replace the distributor. Image

Tnx for the quick reply.
More info on your kit? I have a cnc router so i can make something like that probably. The m20 kit fits on m40?
Also is this a suitable replacement for C3? C18164684
Lots of stuff discontinued or NA, mostly ceramic caps and resistors but those i probably have already.
Is there a newer bom?
tnx

Ianccu wrote: Tue Jul 09, 2024 6:19 pm Hi, back again with a question. Where would the cam sensor plug in on the 1.7 board?
No support on cam sensor in v1.7 board.
So the only way to go full sequential on a m40 is to upgrade to a v2 board?

ah on m40 its possible. stock cylinder id sensor connector is configured as cam input in that case

A plug-in input may not be provided, but you can always jump-wire a connection in, using the proto area for input filtering if necessary (not for this). Likewise, conditioner output to the µC. Minor mods to your ECM is usually an option.
