Any general discussion around the firmware, what is does, how it does it etc.

I have doubts about it, I program 8000 rpm for the tachometer sweep, but it only reaches 7000. From what I see, the process lasts approximately 1.5 seconds and I suppose that my tachometer is not fast enough. Any solution?
Thanks

I had change the TACHO_SWEEP_TIME_MS default value from 1500 to 4000 and the RPM sweep able to reach 9000rpm and sweep very nice.

Very happy with this new feature in my old junk.

The feature was added as a joke originally, but then it took on a life of its own and got implemented.

In the spirit of the source of the feature, reduce your redline to 7000 rpm 😂

the small engine of the 205 rallye works well up to 7500 rpm, the tach goes to 8000 so I would like to do the full sweep

My tacho goes to 8k but was only sweeping to 7kish, instead of changing codes etc.... i just played about with the rpm i ended up setting it to 8700 rpm for the sweep and now my gauge sweeps all the way to 8k.

Which pin does tach sweep work on?
My Miata gets its tach signal from the ignitor not the "tach" pin...I'm assuming tach sweep won't work?

+ on the tach sweep for the miata. It's dumb and not necessary but I'd like to know how it works. Also what would change when I swap to coil on plug.

Thanks

I also tried this function on my Speeduino, but somehow it doesn't work when starting.
The tachometer works when the engine is running.

OK... completely unnecessary on a Nissan Micra but it still looks cool.
