For discussion of Speeduino compatible boards designed / built by other members of the forum and for guidance around making such a board

I liked the case that the dropbear uses so I designed this ecu which uses the Mega2560 and is compatible with 0.4 pin designations in TS and compatible with the dropbear connector pinout.
Being basically a 4cyl design it’s connector can use the extra 4 ign pins to reinstate the 4 outputs that are lost when using stepper on the dropbear. (Jumper selectable to allow full dropbear pinout compatibility if wanted, with 8 paired inj outputs and 8 waste spark ign outputs).

Very nice!
Where did you source the neat usb cable?
Will you be sharing files to the community, I'm sure it would be popular

I have been thinking of the best way to share it. The pcb is a 4-layer with proper ground and power planes and being SMD is quite difficult and time consuming to hand assemble.
Smd designs are quite low cost if you get a quantity made so I have had 20x manufactured with smd parts only, I would be happy to supply one once I have worked out cost, shipping, and documentation to go with it.

Nice! I designed a board for the same case earlier this year. It uses 99% THT components. But the circuit was toned down and adjusted to my specific application (4cyl NA engine). The pinout was also different from the official boards. I didn't bother sharing it because it wasn't perfect. I hope you guys don't mind if I share some pictures here.

Hi, yes. I have now been running it reliably on a LS1 for a year or so and am now happy to share it. I have just started uploading files to the repository on GitHub, I’ll try to get it all up there this weekend. I will also be happy to sell a pcb with all smd parts fitted (as that shouldn’t be too expensive to ship) for anyone not wanting to do the smd assembly. GitHub/Neil427/….
Cheers Neil.

Hi Neil
Newbie to Speedy stuff by not Megasquirt . Looking for a board to suit the micro but can't handle SMD stuff because of arthritis . thru pin no problem and have reverted back to repairing old tube and solid state gear . I have an ECU to build for a Triumph 675R engine for an F2 sidecar and these compact units using the 2560 micro board all external sensors and this is perfect , but I will be running baro correction too .
I believe this is the case available on Ali for £10 + shipping ? The cable will also work in the exposed nature of a sidecar , and will find one on Ali.
Can you supply boards with SMD components installed to UK ?
A price please plus shipping .
Cheers
George
