Hi,

I have the 1.8 VVT engine of my MX5 nearly running, but now the cam sensor broke off. I dropped a wrench on it... It only costs a few bucks but my local parts shop tells me it takes 4 weeks to deliver. NOOOOOOO. I'm so close. I don't need fully sequential, how do I tell the Speeduino, via TunerStudio, to ignore the cam sensor? And should VVT still work, then? I think it should, as it is not closed loop.

Set to wasted COP in spark settings depending on your actual setup, and just choose anything but sequential in fuel settings.

Vvt will work on/off without cam signal

Unfortunately this probably won't work.

The MX5 crank pattern is just 4 teeth on the crank and so the system needs the cam input in order to determine the actual engine angle.
