Hey all,
Working perfectly now, I installed windows in the place of the troublesome Linux on the desktop PC, installed Speedyloader and Tunerstdio and it just worked, the ini file was indeed in the download folder so I copied this over to the laptop running Vista and I can now communicate with the speeduino, I connected a pot to the map input and it reads a treat.
So thanks for your help, much appreciated.
Here is a pic of my 3D printed ECU enclosure, its going to be on show in the passenger footwell so wanted it to look reasonable, I'm kind of thinking about getting it cast in aluminium....
