Hi All,
Off on another adventure I head.
I am changing out the 3VZ-FE in my toy for a VQ35DE out of a 2004 Maxima, I got the hole car for $800NZ drive it on the trailer. It is now mounted in the the chassis.
It looks like the development of the VQ35 decoder has not been finished, so time to head off on another direction.
I have seen a few people mount a 36-1 on the front pulley and run a hall sensor which seams to work, but is quite exposed of my application.
By the looks the flex plate (auto car) has the crank trigger on it, a funky looking 36-2-2-2. ie 10 teeth, 2 missing, 10 teeth, 2 missing, 10 teeth, 2 missing.
My plan is to add extra teeth to make it a 36-1 or 36-2 which should work with the standard sensor and location. I should know more latter today as the motor and box is coming out to be split.
