Hi!
So I have scoured the internet 10x over and found little info on m16a engines.
I have managed to install and get my zc31s (Suzuki swift sport) engine working in my Suzuki SX4 4x4 with firstly the oem ecu. Then with a Speeduino UA4C (Sea Fox) Assembled ECU. The engine swap was made as I was struggling with traction and wanted a bigger car but had spent too much time and money rebuilding the engine > hence sx4 4x4
Specs:
Catcams high lift fast road cams
Monster sport reinforced valve springs
lightened and balanced flywheel
stage 2 exedy paddle clutch
light porting of intake and exhaust ports
balanced crank with clutch and flywheel
Simoto air intake
18" jap style wheels.
managed to get the trigger pattern of the ecu working on 36-1 Here: https://danstengineering.co.uk/Suzuki-M ... earch=m15a
warning! the crank pulley is the same size as the trigger wheel. so I bought a jimny pulley which has smaller AC belt side!
grinded the crankshaft position sensor tabs off from 2-2-1-1 to 4-1 and boom, fully synching and getting smooth rpm readings.
other resources for wiring and general info:
Manuals!! https://www.manualslib.com/manual/10661 ... =66#manual

Wiki ofc! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_M_engine
spark table! https://www.useasydocs.com/theory/spktable.htm
More specs and info on sensors! https://support.haltech.com/portal/en/k ... 16a-engine#
And most importantly, this hero of a man! his series is honestly amazing and couldn't have done the tuning side as fast or as smoothly without his videos! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRrSmjz ... i&index=15
I am now almost completely ready, last finishing touches with start up and final tune.
The next step will be a high flow custom exhaust to go with my 4-2-1 exhaust manifold. and then planning to use a supercharger from either a mini or mercedes plumbed in and using my free ac belt off the crankshaft. low boost for now 6/7psi.. we shall see
