Help with building your Speeduino, installing it, getting it to run etc.

So I saw robot cantina use a Chinese kit. But the factory ecu was crap. But he was able to re use the injectors. Tps. Fuel pump. But used a 36 tooth for pick up.
The engine uses a blue and white wire to send signal to a cdi. Then the coil. Would it be best to just use an ls coil with a built in ignitor to save myself some headache in making the cdi work (I don't think it would work but someone can school me )

I was just wondering how well it will be to get something working together with a speedyefi speeduino kit I purchased.

Oh and for the iat. Robot used a gm iat. I figured I'd go this route as well.

Any tips are greatly welcomed :D

I don't know what a "robot cantina" is so its hard to help. Is it a person? Googling i understand a GY6 is a single cylinder bike engine but robot cantina appeared to be someone fitting a diesel engine to a car.

Can you please be more descriptive on what you want to do so we don't have to google to understand.

Unless you're specific its hard to help as everyone does this in their spare time for fun. Being unpaid help/teacher for someone else isn't usually fun. Searching on this forum will give you lots of answers already.

Speeduino can control single cylinder engines. You'll have to do the research to understand if its been done on similar or the same engines, how they did it, then come back to confirm the details of how you'll do it with people.

This is the video I'm referring to. He even got a map for his engine here to help him get started. I'm running same cc injector and tps as he is. But since speeduino already has a map in place it won't be needed.
I know speeduino can do single cylinders as the parts kit I have is for a single cylinder I was just looking for tips on my flywheel as it only has one trigger. Which I assume can go to the trigger port on the speeduino, and either feed the info from the speeduino to the cdi. Then to the coil. Or would it be best to use an ls ignition with a built in igniter and power source from the speeduino so I can have further control over timing (as the factory cdi is not dynamic but static in nature)
I've tuned cars before on megasquirt with tunerstudio. I'm not looking for teaching lessons just little tips on what to expect when going on a single cylinder setup. I also have a wideband I've been using to tune the carb and can send the 5v source to speeduino as well. Thanks for your time :D

Typical GY6 setup will have a single fixed trigger tooth at crank speed and a VR sensor. Attached is an STL for a 3d printable piece(SLA recommended) that locks against the original tooth and mounts 23 mangets for a magnetless HALL sensor as a 24-1 trigger wheel. I recommend installing the 11 coil or 18 coil stators if you don't already have one of those - some 125/150ccs ship with only an 8 coil which will have a hard time powering everything. I recommend getting a Suzuki burgman 125 pump PN: 15100-20H03. It's 35L/h and needs an external regulator.

There is a factory multi tooth flywheel available online from alie express. But I do wonder if it's possible for your solution to fit my smaller performance flywheel as it is wayyyy smaller than the factory one.

I'll give the burgman pump and regulator a look :)

Hello,
I know this thread is little bit older, but I did not want to create new one since I want to achive practically the same thing.
So I was also looking into using Speeduino and parts from Ali to convert my GY6 125cc (180cc soon) to EFI, but I am not sure about what will be the best approach so I would aprichiate help from more experienced people.

1) I want to recreate basically Rolling Wrenches EFI kit in meaning that you do not need any aditional parts such as the stock CDI box. I watched videos whitch were posted above and searched, but it seems to be more problems with the stock CDI than it is worth. I know that I can just buy that and be happy, but the price of 675$ seems a bit steep if you also count shipping and fees for EU.
RW EFI: https://www.rollingwrenchdenver.com/pro ... ay-efi-kit

2) I wanted to use fully fladged Speeduino 0.4.4 board, but it seemed little bit overkill. So I found stripped down versions:
a) https://github.com/oelprinz-org/BlitzboxBL49sp
b) https://github.com/madhunm/blitzbox2561
c) https://github.com/madhunm/blitzbox2561cj125
I like the most the first version - BlitzboxBL49sp. It seems to be well maintained and has all the files needed also for factory component placement. Even if it is does more things than it is necessery. But maybe it can be a little bit cheaper if you just do not populate some of the components which are not needed?

3) I was searching for GY6 EFI throttle body, but it goes for 140$+ with all the sensors and ijector and including shipping. This was the cheapest I could find: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007803435157.html
But I came across EFI throttle body for Honda Wave110/110i. It goes for cca 50$ inluding it all. I know, it is for different engine, but it seems that it can be fittet to GY6 with some modification to the side that meets with the cylinder head. And also I am not sure about the injector. They sell it in multiple variants: 180cc/200cc and 10/12 holes. Which is better and why? Will it be enough?

4) There were some things that did not occur to me such as the flywheel/magneto and the coils. Coils are easy to find and are not that expensive. I know I need at least 11/12 coil setup. Luckilly I can also buy the magneto for EFI GY6 in czech shop and it is also pretty cheap around 30$. And it look exactly the same as the one from RW shop. It is definitely the best option so I do not need to fabricate anything with this.
Coils: there are plenty on Ali
RW magneto: https://www.rollingwrenchdenver.com/pro ... to-18-pole
CZ magneto: https://www.proskutry.cz/p/rotor-zapalo ... vanim-efi/

5) I am still looking for a pump, but I am not really sure what to look for. My fuel tank is above the carburator, so now I do not need any pump, but I suspect I will need one with the EFI. What parameters should it have? Basically only the L/h rating I think.

6) There are some aditional parts such as wideband sensor. I will just go with the recommended ones in the BlitzboxBL49sp GitHub page. You can find some of them also on Ali and they are pretty cheap around 20$. The cheap ones are only with the long cable, but that does not seem as a problem to me.

So my questions are: Will it all work together? Will it all play nicely with the Speeduino and be tuneable using TunerStudio? Do you have some tips what can be done differently? Can I save some money on different parts than I want to go with or is it better idea to scrap fitting some Honda parts and go with native GY6 parts? Did I miss something? Do you have any other recommendations?
