Almost there, engine is timed up but I've run into 2 snags that I need to solve before fitting.

I've got a little contact between 1 rod bolt and the windage tray, right underneath the oil pump so a level of dissasembly to sort that but nothing major.

Also need to sort the cam spray bars out as they are clashing with the cam lobes due to the significantly higher lift.

Been great to watch this come together - used to have a 205 GTI which I fitted a VTS (ie. GTI-6) motor to. It was great, properly fast! Fitted the motor on the drive of my third year university thanks to some tax back! Good times, did probably 20K+ with that car and motor.

Interesting to see about the VR and Hall effect issue - I'm using the same thing (VR on crank, Hall on cam) so it would have caught me out too.

Regarding your cam hall sensor issue - could you clarify how you resolved? I'm getting great signal from the crank VR sensor but nothing from the cam hall sensor.

I see there are are contacts for VR2+ and VR2-, did you just remove these entirely?

Jumper is set to hall and the appropriate contacts used, took 5v to the hall sensor from the 5v pinout too.
The issue I was having was with it being pulled down a bit but that is documented back in the thread somewhere.
