Hi,
I started a speedy project on e30 m40b16
im having some sync losses occationally
Crank Sensor is ZF GS100502
with Timing light trigger angle - 243
i tried running with Rising edge and Falling edge even when synced with timing light
with falling edge tooth logger doesnt look right with rising edge it looks correctly as it should
any help would be appriciated
Tune. tooth logger (both rising edge and falling edge) and a datalog attached

Hi,
any pointers?
i dont belive theres a actual noise in CPS signal, as im using a ZF Hall sensor with shielded wire (even the wires coming from the sensor are shielded using allow sleeve)
when checked the log, theres always an sync loss start(when rpms's increase) and exit (when decelarating)
when the sync loss happen engine feels really retarded till throttle is let go, after that there's a another syncloss more like a resync happen at the time
just after this the engine rev's happy till hard limiter without any issue

i have attached a latest tune and a log

sync loss can be caused by many many things.

I suggest you check through the forums for ideas to look at as it has been covered extensively.

For M40 users, do we need to swap the injector wiring since the stock wiring for the injector is 1-3 and 2-4, not 1-4 and 2-3 which is common for Speeduino Configurations? Im planning on using K24 coils, wasted spark with ch1 goes to coil 1-4 and ch2 goes to coil 2-3, thanks for the help
