Hi,

I'm going to install a Speeduino on my Volvo B280E engine of my Volvo 780.
The engine is currently running on a Bosch LH-jetronic 2.2 without Lambda sensor.

Now I'm inventoring the available sensors and checking what to buy.

For the Crank trigger pattern I can't find a existing trigger setting into the tuning studio, can anyone help?

I had a similar issue on on Nissan VQ35DE.

But mine was 10-2-10-2-10-2. 10 teeth, 2 missing...............

so I just cut more teeth (holes) to make mine a 36-1.

Looking at yours if you made 2 more holes in the missing areas you would end up with a 60-1 which is an acceptable speeduino trigger pattern.

Just an option. Good Luck

I suspect the pattern of 20-2 20-2 20 -2 does not give a unique reference to start from. A cam reference may help to determine a start point.

Really not my area though. :D

Can you not just stick a 36-1 wheel on the front of the crank pulley?
I think you'd have to write your own variant of the basic distributor decoder to use that pattern.

I'm shure that would work, but I want to keep the external changes as small as possible and hoped that someone already had written something for this trigger pattern.
When looking at the pattern, the system can never know which cilinder is in TDC.
For ignition that's no problem, because I keep using the distributor, but the 3 goups injectors can't be seperated. Now also not the case, but want it.
Therefor I need a different crank pattern or a extra cam disc.
Where to find how I can rewrite the distributor decoder.

Afaik, no one has a decoder for this pattern.
If no visible external changes is the goal, I'd think it easier to to replace that ring on the flywheel with a 36-1 version than it would be to develop a decoder for the current pattern. And even if you do develop it, you'll still be pretty limited on your injection options.
Also, I'm not sure just adding a cam signal would do it.

If you said it’s got a dizzy , then trigger 1 it off the dizzy and just add a reset somewhere somehow .

Simple vr or hall sensor mounted to pickup a cam bolt , lobe etc etc .

Or you can reset trigger it off a 0-5v map sensor reading from a single intake port before tdc maybe ??
