Yes, two regulators 5V needed. One for internal suply, one for external. This idea was tested in 722.6 controller. Short circuit on external 5V not reset Teensy (what is important). Teensy and all internal electronic work prop. even short circuit happend.

Add jumpers on IGN5, IGN6, IGN7, IGN8. If these outputs are not used, simply remove jumpers and pins on external plug can be used for expansion board.

ok!
-Try to clean a bit, especially to avoid voids into the ground copper in the middle of the board (move some traces to have more gnd copper)
- try to have ground traces between each noisy sig.
- take care of the isolation from GND and some high voltage/high current signals (eg. INJ) It seems you just have 0.2mm or something.
-add vias everywhere you can into the ground plane, for a better grounding.

Today I start to build test platform (for home use) with all nececery hardware. Installed today: 4 injectors, TPS, stepper motor, fuel pump. Waiting for ignition coils.
