Basic Instructions and links, which might be enough to get you by even if you don't know the basics.

1 - Download Ardu-Stim - small button at top right above files (cloud symbol) and extract.

Supposedly RPM pot is commented out in Arduino IDE, but can be returned by removing the comment code.

I'm getting closer to publishing my simulator interpretation (hopeful, wishful thinking on my part considering things), so I will follow your guides in order to bring up the Mini's I have for running Ardu-stim.

Well that was a write-off. Ardu-stim with UNO works fine on the bench, plugged it into my SIM board and the LEDs go out. Plugged in extra power pak to the UNO and smelt smoke. Quickly unpluged it and the diode? on the power plug side next to the 2 big caps got hot. Luckily it still works.

That's not good.

Not really - I'm not a EE so I'm not good at that -, but it looks like a high current drain, like a short, because the LEDs go dim before going off.

Even though Druid4Arduino has rpm, there is a pot controlled rpm pin connected to the UNO, that I can't remember where I got from, that might have something to do with it.

The on-board oscillator works on a scope, the UNO works on a scope, but The UNO on the SIM board it dies - on-board osc not connected -.

The other bad news is that 2 people have their SingleSided working - I guess the circuit is ok -, but mine is also dead in the water. :cry:

Peculiar, at least.

I know it's of little consolation but if people are using your designs with no ill effect, that means your design is good... right?

Maybe take a step back, put on some George Thorogood (one bourbon one scotch and one beer perhaps?) or Grateful Dead... then go back over things with a clear head. ;)

One thing that caught me out when i was playing with Ardu-stim was setting the specifics for sweep RPM. You enter it as its written, min,max,rpm/sec.

So if you want to start at 1000 rpm, sweep to 6000 rpm and have it go up in 500 rpm increments, its 1000,6000,500

I had some trouble where it doesnt sweep cleanly at low rpm, but it gave enough of a test that i could still work with it, it was just a tad jumpy.
