For anything related to the 'official' Speeduino boards (Eg v0.3, v0.4 etc)

Hi. I can't seem to find the schematics for this particular board. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks. I guess I can assume the components are almost the same although it looks like some of the reference designators are different.

I mainly wanted to know how much current the 5V regulator can supply. If it really is the MC33814 on this board, then 200mA can be supplied by this part.

Does anyone know what the maximum current draw on the 5V supply is? I would like to use the 5V supply to provide power for an external processor and some addressable LEDs.

Thanks in advance

The boards actually draw very little power as the outputs are all ground switched.

I would say though that from my experience with those led strips they can draw a fair bit so may be too much to share the supply.

You could always pickup the filtered and protected 12v from the speedy board and feed into a 1117 style or similar 5v regulator mounted in the proto area or on your coprocessor/led board.the filter section can easily cope with the extra drain.

Thanks dazq for the feedback.

For the filtered 12V, do you mean the node after the Schottky diode? I guess that would require a wire from after the diode to pick it up.

Assuming this board follows the usual power design then the filtered/protected 12v is just before the 5v regulator or power input to the 33814.
