Hello!

Been tuning the PID idle control, working really good, except after start (cold or warm). Wouldn't it be good to be able to run it open loop for XX seconds before going closed loop? Or what is the trick I'm missing?

Similar to "crank to start taper", but that is not available in closed loop mode.

I've found the same thing, it would be nice if it would go closed-loop once the ASE times out or something?

Same with idle advance. It should start acting a couple of seconds after start. Now it easily nearly stumps the engine because rpms go higher than normal idle rpm just after start. It then reduces timing too aggressively which is not necessary.
