So a few of you may have seen this over on Facebook or Slack, but I've been putting together a tool to help simplify the process of loading firmware onto an Arduino. SpeedyLoader will load a list of all the available firmwares when it starts, then it will download and install this with just a few clicks. No need to do scary things like install IDEs, load code up etc.
SpeedyLoader will be the default, recommended way of installing the firmware going forward as I think it's the best option for most users. Of course there will still be the ability to compile and install from source, exactly the same as you can do today, but this will really only be required if you're wanting to make changes.
I've just released the v1.0 version of SpeedyLoader (after a few Alpha/Beta testing rounds, with big thanks to all who helped out with this) and links to these for each platform are below:
Windows: https://github.com/noisymime/SpeedyLoad ... .1.0.0.exe
Mac: https://github.com/noisymime/SpeedyLoad ... -1.0.0.dmg
Linux: https://github.com/noisymime/SpeedyLoad ... 6.AppImage
The app has been fairly well tested on each platform, but as always there will probably be bugs or enhancements that people would like to see addressed. If you do come across anything, please raise an issue at: https://github.com/noisymime/SpeedyLoader/issues
