Any general discussion around the firmware, what is does, how it does it etc.

Update: The first post is updated with the latest build manual. now STM32F401CC and stm32F407ZE is also optional to build for. (But only STM32F407VE is tested)

Great thread!
Would like to try stm32.
Any lack of support of stm32f406VGT ? seems the same as VET board, but more memory. Will it work?

VGT works fine, but you just need to compile for VET. Doesn't really matter, because the extra flash isn't needed anyways.

The STM32F407VG should indeed work fine! The interesting thing is that all STM32F407VE versions i have so far also have the extra 512kb of flash )total 1Mbyte). The top 512kb flash is used by the internal flash as EEPROM emulation already :-D.

I will probably start a small dev. with STM32F401CC, so I have to check first the Black pill V3, and what could be the pinout to use.
Do you have any recommendation about pinout, or advices for Black Pill board?
Thanks! ;)

Not Tjeerd, but I would suggest avoiding the default SPI pins and also the USB CDC pins. Using those can easily brick your design or at least make using it tricky.

Hi Pazi88,

Thank you for your advices!
Just check the Black Pill pinout right now, and it seems don't have enough analog input available for my needs. Not a good start...
Yeah same for me. But for some small basic ecu it should be fine. I just tried with this board I have: https://stm32-base.org/boards/STM32F401 ... -V1.2.html

But I seem to get USB problems when using speeduino FW. Not sure why, but I don't plan to use that for anything, so I don't waste time figuring out why :D
