I have a strange issue as well with Speedyloader v1.5.1, I have working fw 2021.08 on board and TunerStudio v3.1.08 communicates with it via Serial port Com3, with and without NO2C board on it.
Speedyloader see Com3 but does not communicate with Mega, no flashing Tx/Rx lights, if I upload it stays Uploading and never finishes.
I have tried all USB ports and couple of different cables, no change.
I don't want to erase Mega as it is running now fine with old fw.

This was actually a very strange error on my case.
It was also a bit discouraging to have an error right from the get-go.
In order to solve it, I had to get another Arduino Board. With this new one I was able to properly upload the firmware into it.

Right now I am planning on buying the components to weld into my 0.4.3d speeduino board and latter simulate some of the signals into it. All of this before actually installing into the vehicle (which will require some engine retrofit heheh ).
