Any strange behaviour, crashing issues etc, post them here! Problems compiling the firmware should go in the General support section rather than here

You(and others) can now try the master. The comms should not halt anymore during burn for fresh tune. Although if you have "big" tune, you need to wait for 10 seconds or so before you can reset the ecu because the tune is being written to eeprom on background. Which yet needs to be solved.

This is a very good topic.

First!!!!

I still think Speedy is great.

The question should be????

What are the true stable version of the firmware? NO BUGS.

The ever adding features to the firmware is great but it seems it also adds bugs.
Very normal with changes to firmware.

So do we have real stable versions, even if they have less features. So what.

I have been using the 2020 early year version with NO issues.

I have not done updates because it works great!!!!

I have not updated because there seems to be revolving bugs.

How about doing a clean bug free version once a year or so and list it as such?
Is that already done and I don't know where to look for this?

Then all the added stuff and bugs would no longer create conflict.

Sure hope the newer firmwares with the great new features will be stable one day.

Thanks to all who work on the firmware.

I have good running cars with speedy and no issues that I cant work around.

So, Hats off to all of you.

THANKS!!!!!!!!

There is no code without bugs or 100% stability. Not possible. There is only some acceptable level for amount of bugs/ stability.

But anyways, pretty sure next FW should be really stable and bug free. There has been lot of testing and bug fixing for it and not really much of new features (that could break things).

I agree. No such thing as bug free. Wrong wording from me.
So, what I have done is find a firmware that is easy to have bug work arounds.

So I will rephrase the question.

What are the older firmwares that have the least bugs with easy documented work arounds and what are these work arounds?
I am good with it that way.
Zero complaints from me.

I like the 202002 for this reason.

I will look forward to the latest version and, if needed, the work arounds.

All good as far as i see it.

I am very happy with Speeduino and what I can do with it.

I have good running cars, can build my own hardware and tune for power and economy.
What more is needed?

Thanks for the good work.

I did not say why this matters to me.

I work with beginners to set up and tune with Speeduino.

I have found that if the beginner has less features in TS and less Bugs it is a faster learning curve for them and less problems to solve for me.

After they get the basics and a car running it is very easy to add features later.

So, for me and my tunes there is no issue. I am good with most of the firmwares out there.

Older version mean I don't need to help them turn off features they are not ready for and I don't need to teach them the work arounds for the latest bugs.

No complaints at all.

Keep up the good work.

I think the upgraded feature will be fantastic.

Thanks

Fantastic. Perfect.

Thanks for your input.

Will this firmware need and upgraded TS?

All good and thanks
