Hi guys,

I have a 2001 Ford Excursion with a 6.8L Triton V10 engine. It was free so I didn't bother to check possible compatibility with speeduino, but now that I have it I really like the engine and would love to make it work. The only obvious issue I see is the extra cylinders. I am not totally electrically ignorant (Capable of designing and manufacturing my own pcbs) but I would like to hear your thoughts before I try this.

2 Speeduino's sharing sensors.

One hands wasted spark. Other handles batch fuel.

Other option is a Teensy board which has 8x8 drivers natively and run wasted/batch as above.

Teensy work is still in progress so some things are not currently working (Bluetooth for example).

I don't understand, speeduino already has extra outputs? or do I need to make a new pcb.

The original Speeduino boards only have 4 injection and 4 ignition outputs.

So you would need 2 of each to do an engine above 8 cylinders.

Or go with a Teensy powered board which do 8x8.

Search the forum for info on the 8x8

The Ford V10 has an Even fire 72degrees angle crankshaft. The 2V and 2VPI engines have a 36-1 encoder and the 3V engine has a 40-1. Can the Speeduino account for this?
