Installing a little spade connector header for common ATM or ATC-style circuit breakers is a mid-level protection example that is simple and takes little space. However, protection should be provided by the user at the correct location to protect the entire circuit, and should not need to be added as a separate device inside the components. To be blunt, if a user doesn't want to have stuff damaged by any failure of anything, they should be taking the standard steps necessary to protect it. Is that not reasonable?
