Hello Members,
i am a newbie - made a search but did not find relevant info.
I plan to use the 3-cyl common rail turbo diesel engine out of a Smart car to make a marine generator. My aim is not to increase its performance, but to run it outside the car with marine-style cooling and exhaust (on a boat, exhaust gases are mixed and cooled down with sea water - this "wet exhaust" is taking the exhaust fume overboard. Cooling is done through a heat exchanger - we use sea water to cool down the coolant). Other specifications: no gearbox is used and I would not use the original dashboard clusters either. All is all, I would be grateful for your feedback if Speeduino is suitable for common rail turbodiesels - and also, if you think the OEM ECU really cannot be used in my project.
Thank you inn advance!
