Hello,

I'm trying to fit a speeduino to my 72 spider 2000 to control the spark, i have fitted the crank sensor, TPS and coil pack. I bought a 0.4.3C board from ebay and assembled it but testing with 12v the regulator on the board seems to get very hot after 1 minute and seemed to cut out once, it seems to work otherwise. Just wondering if anybody has any suggestions perhaps i didn't solder it correctly?

Sorry meant powering the board with 12v, the voltage regulator is getting hot.

it does usually get hot, depending on the part that was used, there are various 5v voltage regulators some better than others.

Thanks for the reply, ok that's interesting , I see it has been discussed before here but wasn't sure what was an acceptable as it hissed when touched with wet finger. Started the engine briefly today and it ran nicely though.
