I am looking into turbocharging a friend's 2005 chevy malibu 3.5 v6. I am very certain it uses a 24x trigger but i am not sure if the speeduino is able to use it with anything other than a V8.

Yes. 24x is effectively a 24/1 setup, and cylinders are set in Engine Constants. In-fact, you can run the engine as a 24/1 Dual Wheel setup instead, by also entering the cycle signal angle as some have chosen to do. As I do not offhand know the signal timing for the 3.5L or of it matches the V8 series; this may be a viable option.
