Any questions you have before you begin buying, building and installing.

I am putting together a 4cyl build with Speeduino. I have a ford EDIS system, but i don’t think that will work with Speeduino. I read that the coils are not logic level so i’d need a controller circuit, and also that the hall sensor is variable reluctance, so i’d need a signal conditioner.

Seems like i’d be better off just picking up a sensor and coil thats plug and play.

So, any recommendations?

Always good to have options, and here's a similar set of a bit different:

is the same Hall sensor that @evo_lucian posted, but in a smaller package if space is an issue.

is used on several makes including GM, so it uses common GM connector and LS-style coil wires. It also works without changing the IGN resistors. More info here.

Just other options depending on what's available to you locally or easily.
