IP67 will do.
But also give the PCB a light coating, less changes on corrosion of solder joints.
And pay a lot attention to connectors and the wire inserts.

No, it's not, but then the waterproof case isn't required if using waterproof coating. That was my point. Pick whatever lights you up, and go that way. Some like sexy cases, special connectors and terminals with seals, etc, and others like a 20 minute $7 coating and slap it in there to go racing. Both work well. There are other options. Do your thing.
