Hopefully i can get one of your boards made an get some connectors for testing and hopefully make a 35 pin and 14 pin fit without much hassle.

The main IDE connector has 40 pins, but there are many 'duplicate' ones IMO. My project is a 6-cyl, so it makes no sense for me to use the VR2 connections...since sequential isn't applicable yet. That eliminates 2 pins. Same goes for VVT, boost control, and the 4 stepper idle pins. That's 8 pins in total, which is more than enough to populate the 35-pin AMPseal, including the main 12v and GND. If I was making these for other people, I'd use a different connector though, for sure, or add a small secondary one.
