Hi Chris & Thomas
Any news related BlitzboxBL49sp... Will this project continued or your concentrate completelly on gewitterBOX?

Hi jbiplane,
both projects will be continued. I was moving in the last weeks so there was less than no time for doing something on this.
The BlitzBox does already exist in a first testing revision of hardware, so please stay a bit patient for a while....
The focus will be on the BlitzBox because it is already playing with Tunerstudio. The GewitterBox will need much more time as there must be done a lot of work on the software side (beside the speeduino firmware).
Best regards,
Chris

Good luck to in your nice compact design :)

BTW - do you have comnnector pins detailed description for Blitzbox 34 pins
Some are clear, some related to WB O2, some to USB

Boost? - how and where connect?
disco? - how and where connect?
LMM - Means MAF ?
IDV - ???
BP - ???

Nice Project!!
Is the assembled hardware available to buy already?
I would like to order one or better two christmas gifts for myself :D

Hi Thomas,

Just had a look at your last schematic, very nice project! :)
Fast feedback:
-SOT23 package for MOSFET: i'm a bit worried about reliability with so small package/low rated power FET
-R41 is floating...
-SJ4: replace +UB with +12V
-IC5: MP2359 is obsolete and not recommanded for new design
-IC2: Add VUSB/USB+ on pin 5
-L1: change USB+ with +5V, add diode with USB+ on Anode and +5V on Cathode.
-NCV1124 is a low cost choice for Crank/Cam signal, take care about common mode rejection because no differential input (noise on signal!)
-Take care about max voltage for C12/C14
-No more room on the PCB for IDLE stepper? Not needed?

my 2 cents at the moment ;)

hallo fram,
thanks for your feedback.
this baord is optimized for jlcpcb thats the reason for MP2359 (11050 in stock)
R41 is for solder on R10 on the back if you go with full sequentiell ignition.
there is no space and pins(connector) left for stepper.

Indeed, a cool project. 8-) I also agree with Fram's concern over the AO3400A SOT23 MOSFET. My quick napkin calculations for power dissipation indicate a 12-ohm injector at 85%DC, or a typical PWM IAC valve will smoke it sooner than later. Did I mess-up my calc's, or how did you get good numbers?

This has been my calculations:

The power dissipation from the datasheet says 0,9W at 70 degrees, so there should be enough safety at 100% DC

and what about paired injectors?
