For anything related to the 'official' Speeduino boards (Eg v0.3, v0.4 etc)

HI All,

Small questions about schematic V0.4.4B, especially Clutch input and Flex inputs.

-Flex sensor is usually 12V powered, output is 12V PWM digital signal and go through digital input of the MCU.
what is the purpose of C5?

-Clutch input: what kind of sensor used in this case? Digital signal?

Thanks for the feedback.

Actually the flex fuel sensors normally have open collector output which switches between floating and ground. So with 5v pull-up in speeduino it can be converted to 0-5v square wave. And obviously 0-12v square wave with pull-up to 12v.

Most clutch switches are simple OEM mechanical switches to ground (use input pullup). It can instead be a switch to voltage (high signal), so look at the settings in TS for ideas based on the options there. A biased Hall sensor reading a moving portion of clutching mechanism comes to mind.
