For anything you'd like to see added to Speeduino
#48728
I have a BMW M10 with a getrag 265 transmission. This transmission comes with two motronic sensors and this is perfect for using as an ignition input. The sensors count the flywheel teeth and a mark for TDC. The problem is with a lot of 3rd party ECUs out there and also the Speeduino, that the M10 and M30 flywheel have 116 teeth and this is not dividable to 360.

I would like to see that it would be possible to use flywheel triggers with resolutions that is every number in between 60-150 teeth. The code should be able to calculate the degrees between teeth even if it is not an integer. This number would merely be a constant in the code.

In my case the 116 teeth will give a frequency equal to 14.5 KHz @7500rpm and that shouldnt be a problem for the Arduino. correct me if I am wrong.
